The North Shore Winds is a multi-award winning concert band organisation based on Auckland's North Shore. Our primary focus is on providing an environment in which brass, woodwind and percussion musicians can learn and excel at fun and challenging music, alongside experienced conductors and talented fellow members. This is done in a social environment in which members are able to meet and network with other musicians.

We have three bands: Junior, Youth and Adult to cater to most of the community.

Our bands regularly perform at events around Auckland and the rest of New Zealand. In particular, the youth band performs annually at the national festival held by the New Zealand Concert Bands Association. We also stage regular community concerts.

Players are given additional opportunities to develop their musicianship through forming smaller ensembles or performing as a soloist.

As of 2021, we started an adult group to widen the umbrella and continue the NSW experience for those getting "too old" for the youth band, but still want to be part of the awesome family that is North Shore Winds.
