North Shore Junior Winds

The Junior Band, launched in 2016, caters to students at a Grade 2-5 level and provides a fun and supportive environment for musical growth. This vibrant group plays a mix of enjoyable pieces with a few challenges to keep things exciting. They perform in concerts twice a year alongside the Youth Band and participate in the Matamata Festival of Music.

In addition to exploring a diverse repertoire, members engage in music theory and exercises designed to enhance their skills and prepare them for potential advancement to the Youth Band.
